targeting transformative technologies tO make societies more sustainable
Technology will play a massive role in helping NREP and the real estate industry create and implement better and more sustainable solutions.
Through our urban sustainability tech investment venture, 2150, we search for and invest in transformative and scalable technologies that we then use to make our real estate products even better.
The investments have strong synergies with NREP’s core real estate business. You can read more below on how NREP is incorporating these breakthrough technologies in our real estate developments.

NREP has previously invested in tech firm Spacemaker, hear CEO Claus Mathisen talk about that technology in practice.
Examples of innovation adoption & engagements

CarbonCure
To combat CO2 emissions from concrete, cleantech company CarbonCure has developed an innovative technology that injects recycled CO2 into fresh concrete. The injected CO2 forms a nano-sized mineral, making concrete stronger and thus reducing the need for concrete.

Spacemaker
AI-driven technology for optimised early-stage planning of buildings and larger urban areas. Spacemaker can quickly produce a very high number of quality alternatives to design and planning challenges, enabling better decision making and sustainable outcomes. NREP was an early investor in Spacemaker, which Autodesk later acquired.

PassiveLogic
With a powerful yet nimble deep tech product, PassiveLogic brings intelligence and automation to any building regardless of size. This digital-twin technology can reduce energy usage, e.g. heating and ventilation, by 35%.

Lendager
Lendager is a leading construction materials upcycling consultancy. NREP was previously the largest owner of Lendager, a strategic decision to enable pioneering circular economy projects.
